Welcome to those of you who are visiting our website for the first time - and thank you to our returning visitors!
As I look forward to 2015, I will be entering into my third term as the Chamber’s Chief Executive. Our chamber would not exist if not for Ms. Teresa Gore founding the chamber in 2002. Her vision, wisdom, and entrepreneurship paved the way for our chamber to be a platform for advocacy and support of the Native American Indian business community in the state of South Carolina -- and beyond our borders.
I would also like to thank our 2012 president, Mr. Noah Leask, for having his multiple award-winning company, ISHPI Information Technologies, Inc. join Lockheed Martin and Michelin North America, Inc. as a Lifetime Chamber Business Member. Our Lifetime Chamber Business Members, current and former chamber members, board members, sponsors, committee members, and volunteers have all made our chamber what it is today – and continue to help us in our continuing efforts to improve our value proposition for our constituents.
Our Chamber has successfully hosted many successful events and helped countless businesses. We facilitate and provide many invaluable resources along with a great opportunity for you to showcase and grow your company, whether large or small. We are here to serve you and support your companies, and we will work with you to help you be successful. The Chamber has many membership benefits – with plans to continue to add more benefits as we continue to grow.
We are extremely grateful to all who participated in helping our prior Business Expos to be resoundingly successful! We have hosted visitors, guests and participants from over 10+ states outside of South Carolina.
We are very excited about our upcoming – and largest ever – 8th Annual Economic Development and Advancing Education Summit in April of 2015 where we will bring substantially added value for our members and constituents. Some examples of some exciting new partnerships we have established include
- The SC Chamber of Commerce
- The Minority Business Roundtable (MBRT)
- Governor Nikki Haley
- Clemson University
- Harvard University
- The USDA
- Connect South Carolina
- The Commission for Minority Affairs
- The Catawba Nation
- The Native American Contractors Association
- Duke Energy
I am humbled to be your Chamber President, extremely grateful for your continued support, look forward to serving you – and ensuring that our chamber provides you and your companies/organizations with an outstanding level of value and resources as we work to improve our capabilities –- and yours.
Miigwetch (Thank you),
President & Chairman of the Board
